I am offended by the callous implication that ravers "are on the path to destruction" ("Christian youth rave about prayer," Journal, April 10).

As a raver who attends the high school reported by The Journal to be the best high school in Alberta, who has attended church every Sunday of her life, and whose mother is an Anglican priest, I somehow doubt that I'm skipping merrily down the road to hell.

If you had actually researched your stories concerning Ascension 2000, rather than discussing at length the unthinkable dangers of long lineups, you would have found that ravers are a group of the most tolerant, loving and religious people you will ever meet. They live and die by the code of PLUR: Peace, Love, Unity and Respect.
