A man has been arrested after police seized tablets of the rave drug Ecstasy from a downtown hotel room.
City drug-section and downtown officers and the RCMP drug section raided a hotel room near 107th Street and Jasper Avenue.
They seized 188 tablets of Ecstasy, which they estimated are worth $12,000, and $3,000 in cash.
Greg Hicks, 27, of no fixed address, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of the proceeds of crime and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Earlier this week, Calgary police charged a man after seizing about 12,000 Ecstacy tablets.
