ALL THE coverage on the eight teenagers who were at the Edmonton Ascension rave is senseless. It doesn't matter where kids go, they are going to encounter drugs. At least raves are safe, supervised functions where kids can go. Most parents don't understand what raves are, so they are scared about their child's involvement. I have been to raves and never once have I seen a fight, there is usually no alcohol at them so people don't act like idiots. The people who go are there to have fun, and there is a general good, happy vibe from just about everyone. Just because young people are encountering drugs at raves doesn't mean raves are to blame. Maybe the parents of the children who are on drugs and bringing them to raves should be looked at for not teaching their children self-esteem. These are the real reasons kids are on drugs, not raves!
